This primer came as part of my May Glossybox. I was quite skeptical as I have used many primers in the past and haven’t got the results they have promised.
Seeing as a full sized pot of this primer is £20 for a mere 20g, I figured this must do something pretty special to warrant that price.
The description says that the gel can be used as a stand-alone product or mixed in with foundations and blushers to create an air-brushed effect.
I applied the product as a base for my foundation and my immediate thoughts were how great the product feels on your skin. It is lightweight and silky and instantly mattefies on application.
I am using Bare Minerals powder foundation at the moment so I mixed a little of the primer into the powder to give myself a more liquidy cream. This made a big difference to my foundation application, occasionally I feel the powder can dry my skin out slightly, however the primer ensured I got the coverage from the powder as well as keeping my skin dewy.
I monitored my make-up throughout the day. Usually I don’t even make it to work without having to re-powder but with this primer it took me all the way through until 1:30pm before I had to re-touch anything. For me, this is extremely rare!
The sample that Glossybox sent is extremely small but a little goes a long way. I would seriously consider buying the full size version of this product in the future.
