I have always been a beauty blogger, writing about everything cosmetic, from CC cream to lip scrub, Glossybox to Arbonne…but I had never considered writing about fashion as it is something I love wearing but I am not that up to speed with!
When Pamela Mann tights approached me to write a post about their Moulin Rouge tight range, I was slightly sceptical because of my own knowledge but also intrigued to have a taster in the world of #fbloggers.
So here goes…
I hadn’t heard of Pamela Mann before but one look at their website had me completely hooked. With over 500 pairs of tights to choose from, I felt like a child in a sweet shop as I chose the pair I wanted to review. Finally, after much deliberation, I opted for a pair of opaque black tights, embellished with a Swarovski jewelled windmill, from their Moulin Rouge collection.
I am an absolute sucker for anything with Swarovski crystals in, but even I was slightly wary that a windmill in my tights could look…dare I say it…tacky.
On receiving the tights, I was pleasantly surprised to feel that they were actually opaque! Many times I have been fooled into buying ‘opaque’ tights, only to get home and find I have to layer three pairs to actually cover up my legs. The Pamela Mann tights were pitch black and at 80 denier they were thick enough to wear in the chilly winter weather.
The crystals were also only on one leg which reduced the dangers of tackiness considerably. On reflection, when I put on the tights, the design sat nicely at the bottom of my shin and looked cool and unique when worn with a pair of chic black heels.
The crystals weren’t in your face at all, and provided a subtle amount of glam to my evening outfit. I really enjoyed wearing these out!
This is a perfect collection to wear over the Christmas and winter period, providing warmth along with style and great durability. These tights retail at £35.
Thank you to the PR girls at Pamela Mann that gave me a chance to have a go at fashion blogging too!
