Temperley London is a British design collection founded by creative director Alice Temperley, MBE from Somerset in 2000. Priding itself on its effortless luxury and independent spirit, Temperley London takes inspiration from around the globe, shown through artisan techniques and hand worked embellishment. The company celebrated its 10th anniversary year in 2011.
The lines are currently available in over 200 stockists across 35 countries worldwide.
Avenue 32 are one of their online stockists, with their headquarters based in London. Their collection of Temperley London garments showcase the best of what there is to offer from the designer, from pretty floral dresses to LBD’s suitable for even the smartest of black tie evenings.
A personal favourite of mine is the Pink Jacquard Floral Dress that retails at £850.
I am a big fan of floral tea dresses that billow out at the bottom, creating a feminine yet flattering look on anybody with a slender frame. The style of dress, along with the red/pink colours, creates a romantic feel, fitting for February 14th and moving into the warmer spring months.
This dress can be teamed up with either a small over the shoulder bag and flat ballet pumps for a day look or dressed up with red heels and a cute clutch to take you from desk to dance floor.
Wherever you choose to wear this dress, you are guaranteed to turn heads.
Another favourite of mine in the collection is the Embroidered Primrose Flared Dress that retails at £1,150. A similar style to the Jacquard, this dress oozes sophistication and is perfect for anybody looking to update their occasion wardrobe. The embroidered stitching and floral applique is so precise and dainty, that you only need to pair with some simple black stilettos as this dress does all the talking.
I love how the stitching carries on to the bottom of the garment, as if petals have been scattered from the back all the way down to the hem. Again, the dress has a very flattering shape, clinching in at the waist only to billow out at the bottom, complimented by translucent material that screams expensive glamour.
Although the clothes at Temperley London Ltd have price tags to match their high-end image, you can clearly see that they have been made with genuine love and care. The material used for all of their clothes looks extremely durable and a dress from here would be an investment rather than an impulsive buy.
I look forward to seeing what Temperley London Ltd has to offer in its spring/summer collection and will continue to lust after its many gorgeous embellished and embroidered dresses. You can buy Temperley London Ltd online at Avenue 32 here or tweet them @Avenue32.
