So I may be a little biased, but I really do think that Bristol is the most beautiful city in the UK! Since I moved here in December, I have taken countless photos of the great sites the city has the offer – from the floating harbour and the Clifton Suspension Bridge to the gorgeous houses in Redland and the amazing food scene here.
I share a lot of these photographs on my Instagram account, however I thought it would be nice to put them all together into one blog post. These are some of my favourite places to go in Bristol – and let me know if I have missed anywhere equally as spectacular! As summer begins to creep up on us, I am always looking for new places to add to the list!
You can’t visit Bristol without making a trip to the Clifton Suspension Bridge! Clifton is such a great place for pottering about on a sunny day, there are so many quirky independent shops and cafes. In my opinion, the best day to go up to the bridge is during the Bristol Balloon Fiesta in August. Grab some plastic glasses and a bottle of wine, and watch the balloons float on by next to the bridge!
The Floating Harbour is also a great walk, especially for spying Pinterest-worthy flats and beautiful boats. I am so lucky in that I live on the harbourside and so all of these views are on my doorstep – something I will never take for granted! There are some great pubs and bars along the harbour, including Brigstow Bar & Kitchen, The Pump House and No1 Harbourside.
Finally, I think one of the most amazing things about Bristol is the variety of places to eat and drink. My waistline definitely hasn’t thanked me for the move, but I love exploring all of what Bristol has to offer in terms of food. There seems to be new places popping up every week – my favourite brunch spots are Pinkmans Bakery and the Whiteladies Road Market and you can’t beat a steak roast dinner at Steak of the Art!
